EMEDICS PHARMACEUTICALS LIMITED is a Tanzanian pharmaceutical manufacturing company incorporated under the Companies Act, 2002 with a mission to strengthen healthcare through the local production of safe, effective, affordable, and quality-assured human medicines.
The Company is committed to supporting Tanzania's industrial development while contributing to Africa's vision of pharmaceutical self-reliance. Our flagship investment is a modern pharmaceutical manufacturing facility located in Kerege, Bagamoyo District, Pwani Region — occupying approximately six acres of land with a planned factory development of approximately 3,625 square metres, including a 936.5 m² manufacturing building designed in accordance with WHO Good Manufacturing Practices (WHO-GMP) and TMDA regulatory requirements.
EMEDICS PHARMACEUTICALS LIMITED was established in 2018 with a vision of contributing to the growth of Tanzania's pharmaceutical industry and strengthening Africa's capacity to manufacture quality-assured medicines locally.
The Company was founded in recognition of the increasing demand for essential medicines across Africa and the need to reduce dependence on imported pharmaceutical products. EMEDICS believes that strengthening local manufacturing is essential for improving medicine security, supporting public health systems, promoting industrial development, and enhancing preparedness for future health emergencies.
